Prayer Circle for Animals Weekly Update
December 9, 2013

Our prayers for all animals continue to circle the earth, to uplift humanity's consciousness, and to bless the animals themselves. Thank you for joining people around the world who are praying this prayer in many different languages but all with the same love:

"COMPASSION ENCIRCLES THE EARTH FOR ALL BEINGS EVERYWHERE"

Brrr—it’s cold

Today in Kansas where I live it is 20 degrees, not counting the wind chill factor. Tonight it will be much colder. As I watch the wild finches, sparrows, and cardinals at my feeders from my warm office, I am awed by their stunning beauty and their ability to cope. A little rosy finch is huddling, fluffing her feathers a bit and eating as fast as she can in the short winter day in order to make it through the long cold night.

Animals are suffering from the winter weather and cold human hearts

Meanwhile, there are animals raised for food all over the frozen Midwest and elsewhere whose buildings are inadequate to keep them warm or who have no shelter and perhaps not enough food or drinkable water. And wilderness animals whose habitats have been ripped apart by builders, road graders, timber industries, and others. They must find new homes and food in this bitter cold. The feral cats, the dogs forced to live in back yards and never allowed in the house with their families, the tropical zoo animals who are either shivering in the cold or forced into barren, concrete holding barns—all these and so many others are suffering from the thoughtlessness of human beings.

Actions and prayers can warm hearts and make a difference

This week let us embrace all animals and everyone with the warmth of our loving prayers. Through kind words, actions, and prayers we can encourage people to bring their companion animals indoors or at least provide them with dry straw and a shelter. We can also report any farmed animals who appear to be abandoned or not receiving the food, water and shelter they need. Let us also do what we can to support the animal sanctuaries that will need more food for the animals during these cold months.

Cold hearts can be transformed

Cold hearts can be transformed with our undying vision of all humanity awakening to our true nature as the loving, caring, compassionate creatures we were always meant to be.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and visionary thoughts. Thanks to all of you, compassion is encircling the earth for all beings. Thank you for your devotion to truth, love, liberation and peace for all beings.

With Love, peace, and gratitude from Judy, and Will, Madeleine, and the Circle of Compassion team.

If you haven’t already done so, please join us at the Prayer Circle for Animals facebook page.

May this music of liberation and respect for all life bring us closer than
we’ve ever been to a world of peace for all beings everywhere.
Please visit the website www.circleofcompassion.org often to see updates and special prayers, and also to join in our "A prayer a day for animals" which features a prayer for a different group of animals each day of the week. It is also a place to send ideas or prayer requests.

Please forward this widely so that we may continue to add more people to our ever-expanding circle of compassion.
