And Our Prayer for the Week from Judy Carman
THE FEAST DAY OF ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI IS OCTOBER 4. This
week is also considered the World Week of Prayer for Animals and the beginning
of the Reverence for Life Month. Along with Gandhi’s birthday and World
Farm Animals Day’s Fast Against Slaughter (which was October 2), the
energy field of love and reverence for animals is luminous at this time of
year. Many churches will be hosting Blessings for the Animals in honor of St.
Francis over the next few weeks. This will create more love for animals in
human hearts as they contemplate the beauty of St. Francis’ compassion
for all beings. Even though those blessing ceremonies are mainly for companion
animals, nevertheless, on a metaphysical level, they reveal the deep human
yearning to reconnect with our non-human brothers and sisters.
PRAYERS TO ELEVATE HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS TO ITS HIGHEST EXPRESSION OF
NONVIOLENCE, LOVE, COMPASSION, AND REVERENCE FOR LIFE. We give thanks
that every bit of love brought into this world, no matter how tiny, can never
die. And so this week we celebrate that Divine Love for all beings and
Reverence for Life is growing ever stronger in every heart and soul. The
stronger it gets the closer we come to the liberation of all beings. We ask for
help to continually demonstrate love and “be the change” so that
others can believe that peace for all beings is possible. We give thanks for
our deep and precious kinship with you, dear animals, and for the vision that
we have been given of a world at peace for ALL BEINGS. We ask for the inner
peace and grace to do our part to bring this heaven that we envision to earth
and to put a final and absolute end to all violence toward our animal brothers
and sisters. May compassion and love reign over all the earth for all beings
everywhere.
As always, I send my thanks to each of you, dear Prayer Circle members, for
joining this circle of compassion and shining the Light of Truth for all to
see, so that one day soon, all beings will live in peace together. Our prayers
for all animals continue to circle the earth, to uplift humanity’s
consciousness, and to bless the animals themselves. Thank you for joining
people around the world who are praying these weekly prayers as well as the
Noon Prayer.
With Love, peace, and gratitude from Judy Carman, and greetings from Will,
Madeleine, Tara and the Circle of Compassion team
