Greetings of love and gratitude from Judy Carman

PIG, CHICKEN AND COW KILLING GROUPS SEEK MORE WAYS TO HIDE. The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, National Pork Producers Council, and the United Egg Producers are all government supported. The job of these marketing groups is to convince the public to buy their products of death and destruction while hiding, as much as possible, the truth about what happens to the animals. To further support their ability to hide the truth from consumers and activists, they petitioned Congress and asked that they be exempt from the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). If they succeed, we would not be able to demand access to their records under FOIA. (Thanks to Gracia Fay Ellwood of Peaceable Table and Lorena Mucke of Christian Veg Association for this alert.)

OUR PRAYER THIS WEEK FOR LIGHT TO SHINE INTO THE DARKNESS. We give thanks for millions of animal liberationists and for each other as we carry the the ahimsa, vegan light with us wherever we go. We give thanks that somehow by some extraordinary grace this brilliant light has illuminated our hearts. We have been given the gift of reverence for all living beings. We ask for this important activist tool, FOIA, to endure and strengthen. May the truth of the suffering of all animals be revealed to all people. May those who wish to hide their atrocities toward animals come face to face with the ugly immorality of causing cruelty and death and trying to hide it. May they understand that their own spiritual agony springs from their actions. And as they face their pain, may they be given the grace and gift of infinite compassion. May the light of truth and love shine everywhere until the darkness of all human caused cruelty is gone forever and all earthlings are free.

As always, with tears of gratitude, I send my thanks to each of you, dear Prayer Circle members, for joining this circle of compassion and shining the Light of Truth for all to see, so that one day soon, all beings will live in peace together.
