Celebrating the overturning of Idaho’s Ag-Gag Law and compensation to Activists: http://www.capitalpress.com/Idaho/20160519/idaho-ordered-to-pay-250000-in-ag-gag-case A landmark article in Capitol Press announces: “Idaho’s government must pay $250,000 in attorney fees to animal rights advocates who successfully fought in court to overturn the state’s so-called “ag gag” law.” The 2014 Idaho Ag Security Act made it a crime to secretly record cruelty to animals on farms. Chief U.S. District Judge Lynn Winmill ruled last year that the Act was unconstitutional and that it violated the right to free speech. Winmill recently ruled that the Animal Legal Defense Fund and other plaintiffs should be compensated for legal fees to the tune of $250,000.00.

Giving thanks for Idaho Activists. Our promise to all animals endures and strengthens. The animals of the world need to be heard and their suffering revealed; the world needs to hear their cries through us. We give thanks for this great gift to animals in Idaho, and we give thanks for all the activists who worked so hard to overturn this immoral, unethical, and unconstitutional Ag-Gag law there. We give thanks for the hope, encouragement, and empowerment that this brings to us all. We give thanks that the world is awakening. And we once again send our promise from our hearts to the hearts of all beings everywhere—We will not be silenced. We are here to tell your stories, to reveal your suffering, to translate your cries of anguish and mourning into words that all human beings can understand. We will not be silenced. We will raise our voices for you until the last human being finally understands that you are our brothers and sisters, and you must be given freedom and respect. The day is coming when human hands will never again imprison, torture, or kill you. This is our prayer, our promise to you, our vow. Our spirits greet your spirits in love, compassion, and reverence.

As always, with tears of gratitude, I send my thanks to each of you, dear Prayer Circle members, for joining this circle of compassion and shining the Light of Truth for all to see, so that one day soon, all beings will live in peace together.
