Let’s Celebrate More Good Vegan
News. “A vegetarian world would be healthier, cooler, and
richer” is the title of a
March 21 Reuters.com article. The reporter
announced that, “A new study, published in the Proceedings of the
National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America, is the
first to estimate both the health and climate change impacts of a
global move toward a more plant-based diet.” Researchers
from Oxford University studied how a vegan diet, a vegetarian diet, a
“global guideline” diet with limits on red meat, and the standard diet,
would impact health care costs, the environment, and longevity.
“Adopting a diet in line with the global guidelines could avoid 5.1
million deaths per year by 2050, while 8.1 million fewer people would
die in a world of vegans…” they reported. They also predicted,
“Dietary shifts could produce savings of $700 billion to $1,000 billion
per year on healthcare, unpaid care and lost working days, while the
economic benefit of reduced greenhouse gas emissions could be as much
as $570 billion…”
Prayers of Gratitude and Joy for Open
Hearted Researchers and Reporters. This week let us give
thanks for this article and all the others that are continually pouring
out in mainstream news to awaken people. Although animal
suffering is not mentioned, it is still a step toward motivating people
to care about the environment and their own health. Many people
become vegan for such reasons and then find their hearts opening to
animals. Because they are no longer causing them harm, it is as if they
gain permission to then face the suffering of animals and feel a huge
burden of guilt lifting. As an action this week, we who are more
than a thousand strong, can each share this with 100 people. Just
our small group can reach 100,000 people in one week. And as we share
this, let us send it out with blessings from our hearts—blessings of
courage to listen and question; blessings of love and empathy for all
the living; blessings of joy in knowing the power each person has to
make the world a kinder, more harmonious place. And after we have
shared our messages, let us spend some time each day this week
picturing the receivers of this news nodding, thinking, opening to
truth, and feeling our blessings. And most of all let us be in
awe and amazement that this ever-growing wave of vegan love and
compassion is encircling the earth right now. May all
hearts be renewed and transformed into hearts of love and liberation
for all beings. Our spirits greet the spirits of all people and know
the truth.
As always, with tears of gratitude, I send my thanks to each of you,
dear Prayer Circle members, for joining this circle of compassion and
shining the Light of Truth for all to see, so that one day soon, all
beings will live in peace together.
May compassion and love reign over all the earth for all beings
everywhere.
Thank you all for your devotion to truth, love, liberation and peace
for all beings.
With Love, peace, and gratitude from Judy Carman, and greetings from
