Greetings of love and gratitude from

Only 38 Giraffes left in the Republic
of Congo. Poachers are killing them and their habitat is
extremely degraded. Worldwide giraffes have declined in population from
140,000 in the ‘90’s to 80,000 and, of course, millions in the distant
past. A myth that body parts can cure AIDS, trophy hunters
without conscience, a market for giraffe skin, and the plight of the
poor and hungry all contribute to this crisis for giraffes as well as
the many other African animals.
Prayers for Giraffes, for the Poor,
for the Poachers and Trophy Hunters: This week as we meditate
and seek quiet moments to send out the energy of healing and love to
the world, let us focus some special time on our gentle giraffe sisters
and brothers. They are facing such horrors at the hands of
people. But our prayers and focused thoughts must include, not only the
dear giraffes, but also the people responsible for their suffering and
so many deaths. We send the energy of empathy, reverence, and
compassion to all poachers and hunters, that they might look into the
eyes of these noble beings and be transformed into protectors.
May they behold the divine mystery in all of nature. We send
compassion, respect, and concern for the people in Africa whose
livelihoods have been taken from them by industry and who now live with
hunger, poverty and desperation. We send strength, courage, and
admiration to those on the ground who are doing all they can to help
end the exploitation of the poor and of the animals of Africa. These
prayers and thoughts link us all together, and the power of love keeps
on growing around the world.
As always, with tears of gratitude, I send my thanks to each of you,
dear Prayer Circle members, for joining this circle of compassion and
shining the Light of Truth for all to see, so that one day soon, all
beings will live in peace together.
May compassion and love reign over all the earth for all beings
everywhere.
Thank you all for your devotion to truth, love, liberation and peace
for all beings.
With Love, peace, and gratitude from Judy Carman, and greetings from
