Greetings of love and gratitude from Judy Carman

Valentine’s Day is Drawing Near:  It’s a day when many hope for a sign of love from someone special and children are encouraged to send greetings of friendship and love to classmates and relatives.  Love is definitely in the air.  While that sounds like just a saying, spiritually and energetically it is absolutely true.  The “air” or the sacred space all around us is filled with thoughts of love, just as it is on some other holidays.  Yet, sadly, as we know, the other species of earth are hardly thought of at all with valentines and love in mind.  In fact, many valentine dinners will be celebrated ironically and disconnectedly over dead bodies and milk chocolates full of the suffering of mother and baby cows.
 
Our Prayerful Vegan Valentine for All Earthlings:  This week, let us each find a special animal—a dog, a cat, maybe a horse, or a pig or cow.  Let us find a way to give them a valentine.  It could be a long hug, a good belly rub, or something they just love to eat for a special treat.  Let us be right there, as present as we can possibly be with that dear ambassador of the animal world.  As we hold them and caress them and give them our unconditional love, let us see our love for them and their love for us becoming magnified and expanding out in larger and larger ripples of infinite love for all beings everywhere.  Let us imagine and feel all the animals somehow, through divine mystery, feeling our caresses and our commitment to comfort and love them wherever they are.  As we do this, let us feel the joy in our hearts that comes from knowing this very real love is changing the world and bringing freedom to all.  That joy we feel is very key, because feeling it while we are sending love amplifies and expands our vegan valentines even more powerfully. 

As always, with tears of gratitude, I send my thanks to each of you, dear Prayer Circle members, for joining this circle of compassion and shining the Light of Truth for all to see, so that one day soon, all beings will live in peace together.

May compassion and love reign over all the earth for all beings everywhere.
