Greetings of love and gratitude from

Historic decision by California
Coastal Commission—No More Breeding of Captive Orcas at Sea World. October
8 marked a huge step forward for captive orcas and for
compassion. Sea World of San Diego has been given permission to
enlarge their tanks but only if they discontinue breeding orcas.
The measure also bans the sale, trade or transfer of the 11 orcas now
living there. “SeaWorld’s business is circling the drain as an
enlightened public is objecting to the confinement of orcas in bleak
bathtubs for the sake of entertainment,” said Animal Legal Defense Fund
Executive Director Stephen Wells.
Right before our eyes we are seeing more and more public outrage over
animal cruelty that was once ignored or considered entertaining and
totally acceptable. The internet is helping us to show everyone
that they are not alone in their disgust at animal abuse. It is
becoming socially acceptable to question places like Sea World that
have, up until very recently, been considered just a “fun place to take
the kids.”
Prayer for the Week: May every heart
open even further and SEE that confinement of all animals is immoral,
cruel, and that we can end it. We give thanks that human
hearts are opening to the plight of wild animals who are confined. We
give thanks for the California Coastal Commission members, the
Blackfish producers, and all those who helped end the breeding, sale
and trade of the orcas at Sea World. We say to the 11 orcas who
live at Sea World—we are ashamed of our species for what it has done to
yours. But, please join us in this vision—an empowered and
focused vision—of a world in the near future in which all beings are
free. As abused ambassadors of the animal world, you are helping
human beings open their hearts to all animals being exploited by human
ignorance and greed. Their hearts are partly open now thanks to
you. Your suffering has not been in vain. We pledge today to do
everything in our power to bring all human hearts to full flowering,
and in that full flowering, all animal suffering caused by human beings
will cease and never again traumatize and destroy lives.
As always, with tears of gratitude, I send my thanks to each of you,
dear Prayer Circle members, for joining this circle of compassion and
shining the Light of Truth for all to see, so that one day soon, all
beings will live in peace together.
May compassion and love reign over all the earth for all beings
everywhere.
Thank you all for your devotion to truth, love, liberation and peace
for all beings.
With Love, peace, and gratitude from Judy Carman, and greetings from
