Prayer Circle for Animals Weekly Update
January 21, 2013

Our prayers for all animals continue to circle the earth, to uplift humanity's consciousness, and to bless the animals themselves. Thank you for joining people around the world who are praying this prayer in many different languages but all with the same love:

Today is the 30th Martin Luther King Day of Service. This is one of those transcendent days dedicated to honoring Dr. King and his precious and powerful message that we can become a non-violent and compassionate species. Like other holidays dedicated to a better world where peace reigns, this is yet another opportunity for us to join in the worldwide energy field of love that is vibrating and rippling out from points of light everywhere. Our joy and our job is to make sure the animals are not forgotten, that they are included in the actions, prayers and visions that take place on this day that will surely bring us a few steps closer to the new Homo Ahimsa (as discussed in www.peacetoallbeings.com) that we are revealing.

In Defense of Animals (www.idausa.org) has organized a campaign that you might want to join. "On this important day of action, please be of service to animals by leafleting at your local MLK Jr. parade. Click here for a downloadable PDF of IDA's Martin Luther King, Jr. leaflet. Join with hundreds of activists nationwide for this important day of service! Please take photos of your leafleting, post them to Facebook, and tag IDA.

"If you are unable to leaflet, please join us in a virtual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade by posting and sharing our leaflet on Facebook and posting on Twitter: One Struggle, One Fight, Human Freedom, Animal Rights #IDAMLK. If you have any questions, email Christy Griffin: Christy@idausa.org.

Animal liberation is human liberation. As we liberate animals from human domination, we liberate ourselves from the anguish, depression, empathy avoidance, anxiety, physical illnesses, addictions, etc. that dominate humanity as a direct result of the human inclination to dominate others. So as we honor Martin Luther King today, let us carry his vision and expand it to see the final piece required for total human liberation-reverence and freedom for all life.

May all beings be happy. May all beings be free.

Please visit the website www.circleofcompassion.org often to see updates and special prayers, and also to join in our "A prayer a day for animals" which features a prayer for a different group of animals each day of the week. It is also a place to send ideas or prayer requests.

Please forward this widely so that we may continue to add more people to our ever-expanding circle of compassion.
