Prayer Circle for Animals Weekly Update
February 13, 2012
Our prayers for all animals continue to circle the earth, to
uplift humanity's consciousness, and to bless the animals themselves.
Thank you for joining people around the world who are praying this
prayer in many different languages but all with the same love:
"COMPASSION ENCIRCLES THE EARTH FOR ALL BEINGS EVERYWHERE"
I thought we could all use some good news right about now.
"Five killer whales have been named as plaintiffs in a lawsuit which argues they deserve the same constitutional protection from slavery as humans. A US judge is considering a complaint by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' (Peta) against SeaWorld. It is reportedly the first time a US court has heard legal arguments over whether animals should enjoy the same constitutional protections as humans." This is absolutely revolutionary and will get people talking all over the world about the possibility that animals could be given legal rights. - And, in more good news, I write a column entitled "Eating as Though the Earth Matters" for the Kansas Sierra Club journal "Planet Kansas." In the recent February-March issue, in addition to printing my vegan article, Craig Wolfe, the Communications Chair, states in his "Viewpoint," that many solutions to environmental problems are free. He asks readers to consider "one free path is to change our diets" and refers them to my article.
- Our elephant campaign in Topeka, Kansas, is getting tremendous press and many positive responses from the public. The newspaper conducted an online poll and 70% voted to let Tembo and Sunda to go to The Elephant Sanctuary.
Our prayers and actions continue to bring more love and compassion into the world and to awaken people to the dignity and preciousness of all life. Thank you all for all that you do for all living beings.
May all beings, including all people, be happy and free.
With Love and peace from Judy & Will
